To those I spoke with about further training:
I will be at the Barracks this Wednesday evening. You may meet me there so that I can asses your skills.
If there are others without knowledge of self-defense, I am still capable of taking on more students. I would suggest you consider the opportunity carefully. You may not always have the luxury of another to fight on your behalf.
[Filtered to his Edward, 40% unhackable]
Edward, I wish to speak with you. My room, if you would.
[OOC Notes of Doom: If there is interest, I will toss up a post or a log on Wednesday for the class. Otherwise, if you could just leave me a note or pm me or ping me on aim or something, so I can get an idea of your character's general skill and attitude about the whole thing and how Sig will react to them.
Also, I know I still have tags on the last post. Gettin' to 'em now. Sorry about that.
...Oh. And the start of Sig's relationship post is here, if you wanna see that.]

My lord?
Edward. [That head-tilt towards his desk chair by way of greeting is absolutely an invitation to come sit down. How else would someone express these things?]
He enters the room as directed - invited, commanded? It's really all the same to him - and sits by the desk, curious and a little concerned about the summons. He knows he's been acting strangely and Sigmund's far from stupid. Not knowing what this is about is making him nervous.]
Edward is acting oddly and he is absolutely convinced it is his fault. So he stands in front of Ed, shoulders squared, hands behind his back, attempting to not be anxious because he thinks fanboys might smell fear, and...]
I owe you an explanation for my behavior.
...My lord? What do you mean?
I owe you an explanation for my behavior before- ...we were separated. I treated you unfairly, and - [and you were a jerk to Capell - no, don't go there] - I realize that it must have been upsetting; but... [Fffffffff, he's forgetting his speech. He worked so hard on that.]
He doesn't want to interrupt Sigmund's speech, though, so he waits a bit longer.]
Capell is very important to me. I regret that I did not explain this while I still had the chance. I treated you as I did because Capell- [...no. He can't say it. He presses his lips together and falls silent.]
Because Capell is your son.
[If this is so difficult for Sigmund to explain, it's best to just get it out there.]
This is the blankest expression he has ever worn in his very long life.]
... Yes. He is.
A great deal happened after Vesplume Tower, my lord, and with it, many revelations. And while you don't remember it, you yourself told me of your past here, in Luceti. [He closes his eyes.] You were Volsung, the king of Casandra. I remember it well.

He shifts on his feet and stares somewhere around Edward's shoulders. The reason he's been acting oddly seems quite obvious, now. Sigmund would be disappointed as well, if he was what his hero amounted to.]
I am sorry I'm not the man you thought I was, Edward.
Your past has never changed my opinion of you, my lord. You're still the same man you were before.
You are not. [It's neutrally stated, although maybe surprising that Sigmund pays that much attention to start with.]
I'm glad to see that you've grown.
I... pledged to protect Capell in your place. [Eventually.] He and I are friends now.
I'm glad to hear it. I hoped you might learn to get along.
That was sharper than Sigmund intended it to be. He takes a breath and looks at the floor before continuing, more softly this time.]
I intentionally withheld knowledge that others had a right to, because I was afraid of the consequences. I am at fault, whether you will admit it or not.
He... he knows Sigmund isn't perfect. It's extremely difficult to admit to himself, and it was something that had taken months to even acknowledge in the past. But he's still not sure he can say it aloud.
Especially not to Sigmund himself.]
He's been trying to avoid it, but just this once he stands and rests his hand briefly on Edward's shoulder. It's more of a reassuring tap than anything.]
That was all.
